Shepherds Bush Market

Serving both the local Irish and Afro-Caribbean community, Shepherds Bush market is a good place to head for music CDs, fresh and cooked foods, yams and other exotic fruits plus fabrics, household goods and furnishings. Open 6 days a week; closed on Sundays.

Hammersmith Park

This pleasant park situated behind the BBC in White City has two playgrounds, tennis courts, bowling green and football pitches. It is also home to the 1910 Japanese Gardens thought to be one of the oldest Japanese Gardens in the UK, these gardens are gradually being restored to the former glory. View photo on Flickr
